We anticipate instructions to find a tenant for some 1000 acres of wood and scrubland/setaside in Surrey. There are complications in that there are a number of public footpaths and, whilst shotgun shooting will be acceptable, it is unlikely that police permission would be given for the use of rifles. Because of this complication, and whilst shotgun shooting could take place on all of the acreage, it is thought that only about 400 acres could be developed as a formal shoot. Most of the land would therefore only be suitable for rough shooting. A long term tenancy will be considered and the rental in the first year will be set at £4 an acre.
