We invite individuals or groups interested in
obtaining shooting rights and establishing syndicates or commercial
shoots to contact us. At the same time, we invite farmers and landowners
considering selling new shooting rights to also get in touch. Then
we will put landowner and potential syndicate together thus kick
starting new enterprises.
HERE ARE SOME OF THE QUESTIONS WE ARE OFTEN ASKED BY FARMERS AND LAND OWNERS
WILL I HAVE PEOPLE RUNNING ALL OVER MY LAND WHEN THEY LIKE?
No. You control the situation. For example, you determine when and how often the lease or
licence holder can shoot. This is generally about 10 times a year but always by prior agreement.
DOES THAT MEAN I WILL ALWAYS KNOW WHEN ANYONE IS SHOOTING?
Yes. They will contact you first or give you dates in advance.. And whoever signs the shooting
lease/licence will always be present and will be responsible for anyone else shooting.
CAN I CONTROL HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE ON MY LAND AT ANY ONE TIME?
Yes. It will be specified in the licence. It can be just one person or as many as
you are prepared to allow. Usually, with rough shooting, it will only be two or three. If
you agree to more formal, driven shooting, then it can be as many as 16 or more. But
it is up to you.
CAN I CAN CONTROL WHAT SORT OF WEAPONS ARE USED AND WHAT SORT OF GAME
OR VERMIN ARE SHOT?
Yes. For example, unless you are selling the deer stalking rights, you can ban rifles.
WILL MY ENVIRONMENT AND MY PRIVACY BE RESPECTED?
Yes. The licence includes many restrictions. If you wish, no Sunday shooting or night shooting,
or shooting near your home. The licence holder has to agree to not disturb livestock or
damage property or leave rubbish lying around. Or leave gates open!
THAT'S ALL VERY WELL. BUT WHAT IF THERE IS DAMAGE OR EVEN INJURY TO PERSONS?
Anyone on your land, in the terms of the licence, must have third party liability insurance up to
£5 million for any one claim
WHAT IF I ENTER INTO A LICENCE AGREEMENT AND IT ALL GOES WRONG?
Licences are generally limited to one year. But if the licence holder contravenes the
terms of the licence, then you have the option to revoke it.
WHAT IS THE IDEAL SHOOTING LAND?
The ideal shoot will be a few hundred acres, with some woodland, good hedgerows, perhaps one or two ponds,
away from urban areas, and with few or little used public footpaths. BUT we can generally find a tenant
for shooting on any terrain.
WHAT SORT OF ANNUAL RENT CAN I EXPECT?
We have obtained as much as £28 an acre per annum for the ideal unit and seldom less than £7 an acre
OTHER THAN SUPPLY THE LAND, WHAT ELSE DO I HAVE TO DO?
Nothing. But, on the other hand, for additional payment, you can offer to prepare strips of cover crop and
perhaps feed and water pullets in release pens
WHAT DO YOU CHARGE?
We charge 10% of the first year's rent. For that, we find you a suitable tenant, draw up the licence tailored
to your individual requirements, and collect the first year's rent in advance.

For Guns:
When attending a shoot, all guns must have with them a valid Shot Gun Certificate,
a game licence (if shooting game) and evidence of insurance cover or they will be
refused permission to take part in the shoot with the loss of any fees paid.
You may be similarly refused permission to take part if you have not advised us or the
shoot in advance that you or any of the guns with you are inexperienced and are deemed
to be by the shoot captain.
This rule also applies if any guns are deemed, by the shoot captain, to be behaving in
an unsafe or anti-social manner.
If you have any doubts as to what may be construed as inexperienced, unsafe or
anti-social, feel free to discuss this with Shooting4All (Tel: 07810 201178).
You should also have your own gun (not semi automatic or pump action) and ammunition,
as these are only supplied by the shoot by prior arrangement. Cartridges should have
fibre wads and you must have non-lead cartridges if wildfowling or duck flighting.
Please, do not bring extra guests, and especially young children, without advising us
or the shoot.
We encourage shoots to adhere to the following rules regarding bag size but there are,
occasionally, slight differences (if in doubt ask us before you book):
1: Allow a margin of error of + or – 10% of the expected bag without adjustment to
cost.
2: If the bag is more than 10% over the expected bag: payment is due on a per bird
basis from the gun to the shoot.
3: If the bag is more than 10% under the expected bag a partial refund may be due
from the shoot if the shots fired to expected bag ratio is 3 :1 or greater. For example
if the expected bag is 100, only 85 birds are shot, and the number of shots fired is 300
then no refund is due. In the same example if less than 300 shots are fired a 15%
refund may be due.
Cancellation:
If you cancel your day 3 months or more before the day we will refund the full amount
less an administration charge of £25. In the event that we have already passed on your
payment to the shoot, the refund is due from the shoot and not Shooting4All.
If you cancel less than 3 months before the day no refund is due from either the shoot
or Shooting4All.
Any amount you have paid in advance which we are holding will be returned to you in
full if this agreement is cancelled by the shoot for any reason, for example inclement
weather or restrictions due to an outbreak of disease . If we have remitted deposits or
payments to the shoot on your behalf, in accordance with our agreement with them, then
any return due to cancellation by the shoot, will be due to you from the shoot.
We thank you for placing your business with us. We do not charge a fee to teams for
arranging shooting as we are paid by the shoot, but we do make an administration charge
of £10 for single gun bookings. Whilst we will mediate for fair settlement, we do not
accept any responsibility for any dispute that may occur between you and the shoot. If,
in the terms of our contract with the shoot, we have paid all or part of the cost of
your day to the shoot, then we do not accept responsibility for the return of that
payment in the event of a dispute. In the event of any complaint you may have, it is
important that you (a) register your complaint with the shoot and (b) advise us at the
earliest opportunity. We do not accept any responsibility for any incident caused by
whatever means, resulting in death or injury to you or others, or damage to property,
whilst you are attending the shoot.
Details of the rendezvous time and place, directions on how to get there, and details
of how to contact the shoot skipper/an official will be sent on acceptance of these
terms and conditions. Do please contact the shoot a few days before the shoot date to
ensure there are no changes.
If you are unsure of any of the formalities and courtesies of shooting then please
look at the page titled 'Shoot Support' on our website or please check with us
for clarification (Tel: 07810 201178).
For Shoots:
1:Charges:
a: Commission is charged to the shoot on all transactions except advertising and is
calculated as follows: 10% commssion is charged on the first £2000 of a transaction
and 2.5% is charged on anything over £2000. Eg a whole day shooting worth £5600
attracts a commission of £290.
b: In the event that shooting4all completes more than one transaction with a shoot
in one season the commission is calculated on each transaction not the whole. For
example a syndicate guns for several different individuals should be considered
separate transactions. Multiple whole days or pegs booked by the same gun are
classed
as separate transactions also. If Shooting4All buys a whole day and fills it with
individuals commission is calculated on the total amount due not on the cost per gun but
may charge guns an additional £10 booking fee due to the extra work these days causes.
c: Adverts are charged at 30p a word for one month, 45p a word for two months and 60p
a word for 3 months subject to a minimum charge of £20.
d: Guest pages dedicated to one shoot, like those for Heydon Hall and King's Walk, cost
£100 a month.
e: Although transactions by debit card cost nothing extra: some types of credit card
may incur a fee from our service provider (barclaycard). This is usually around 2% but
it does vary. If in doubt please ask.
2: Cancellation:
a: In the event of cancellation by the client: Shooting4All will endeavour to help find
replacement gun(s) so that neither the original client nor the shoot are out of pocket.
b: In the event of cancellation by the shoot: Shooting4All will endeavour to help find
a replacement date or venue so that neither the client can still shoot.
c: Where
Shooting4All or the shoot themselves are unable to find replacement client(s)
responsibility for any refund(s) due lies with the shoot. As such each shoot is
required to have a standard refund policy and to apply this evenly to regulars as
well asShooting4All clients.
d: Both the Clients(s) and the shoot are obliged to inform each other, and Shooting4All,
immediately in the event of cancellation. This is to allow the maximum possible time
to make alternative arrangements
e: No commissions, charges or fees levied by shooting4all on the client
or the shoot
may be refunded. If alternative arrangements can be made responsibility for
commissions, charges and fees may be passed to a third party.
Shooting4All reserves the right to alter or cancel these terms, conditions and charges
at it's own discretion
without prior notice.
